Discover the charm of the Freihaus district with its galleries, boutiques and trendy bars. We stroll through alleyways and backyards accompanied by stories told by Mizzi Kaspar and Mr. Ettenreich.

We start our city walk in the 4th district at the superbly decorated St. Charles’s Church and wander around the former outskirts to discover a quarter where housings of workers and craftsmen meet the pomp of upper classes. This contrast gives the 4th district its particular charm. In the past few year a colourful mix of galleries boutiques and pubs have resettled in the “Freihausviertel”.

One unmissable sight on this tour is the popular market “Naschmarkt” where Viennese buy black pudding and sauerkraut and eat traditional food as Kaiserschmarrn or Palatschinken.

After a glass of vine you would like to spend the rest of the evening in the Grätzl.
