Join me on a fascinating journey back in time through the exciting “Freihausviertel” in Vienna’s 4th district “Wieden”. Originally, the Freihaus was the largest apartment block in Vienna and an integral part of the cityscape. Back then, it was already a cultural and musical hotspot, as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts “The Magic Flute” premiered here. After the Freihaus was demolished, a lively neighbourhood with numerous bars and galleries emerged here, inviting you to linger and explore. During the tour, I will show you the last remnants of the historic Freihaus and together we will explore the lively neighbourhood in all its glory. The tour will show you why the Freihaus district is one of, if not the, most popular neighbourhood in Vienna!

I invite you to explore the “Freihausviertel” with me – my home and one of the most fascinating neighbourhoods in Vienna. Even though the “Freihausviertel” is already very lively and attracts many people thanks to its numerous bars and restaurants, there is much more to discover in this neighbourhood. Behind the lively façade are countless stories and hidden places that most people still don’t know about. On this tour, I would therefore like to show you not only the well-known hotspots of the “Freihausviertel”, but also take you to the secret corners that lie away from the busy streets.
