To get you started, you will learn how the cottage movement came about in today’s Embassy area. Selected houses will introduce you to the most important initiator, Ringstrasse architect Heinrich von Ferstel, and many other prominent builders. On our tour, we meet outstanding personalities from the fields of art, medicine, science, media, politics and business. In our thoughts, we let the “mountain” tramway rattle up the steep streets once again, are guests in the historic cottage network where bowling was practiced as a pastime, and remember fateful encounters and dates with skates and tennis rackets. After approx. 2h our tour ends at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and nearby restaurants invite you to take a well-earned break in the countryside.
